Website — Fondazione Anna Pallini ETS

I was contacted by the president of Fondazione Anna Pallini ETS — a non-profit foundation based in Traversetolo (PR), Italy, established in memory of Anna Pallini, a young scout who passed away in a tragic road accident in 2018. The foundation's mission is to build and manage educational community spaces rooted in scout values, with their flagship project being "Casa Girasole": the renovation of an unused barn into a fully operational youth and community hub. The engagement involved the end-to-end design and delivery of two distinct web properties with different technical requirements and audiences. The first, fondazioneannapallini.it, is the foundation's institutional website. The client required a content-first, static site optimized for clarity, accessibility and SEO — with no unnecessary complexity. I chose Astro as the frontend framework for its zero-JS-by-default architecture, which ensures extremely fast load times and great Core Web Vitals scores. The site covers the foundation's mission, governance, legal identity, active projects and transparency reporting. To streamline ongoing updates and avoid manual deployment overhead, I implemented a CI/CD pipeline that automatically builds and pushes the production bundle to the client's FTP server on every commit to the main branch, removing any friction from the content update workflow. The second, casagirasole.org, serves the Casa Girasole project directly and targets a broader, less technical audience including families, local associations, volunteers and potential donors. Here the priority shifted toward an editable, interactive experience — so I opted for a WordPress CMS, giving the foundation's staff full autonomy to publish news, update project milestones and manage media content without developer intervention. The theme was built with a custom design system aligned with the foundation's visual identity. Both sites were built with full mobile responsiveness, semantic HTML and on-page SEO best practices.
